Pluto is the slowest moving planet and has been in Capricorn since January 2008 and influences a period of an entire generation. Pluto will be in Capricorn until November 19, 2024.

During this period, Pluto stations Retrograde every year.

Pluto, of the Roman pantheon, rules over the underworld, and is associated with the Greek Hades. Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio and rules over the unconscious, deeply buried emotions, secrets and the hidden truths. Pluto is also most notably associated with the Phoenix symbolism of rising from the ashes, transformed, changed, renewed and reborn after death and destruction.

Pluto in Capricorn can bring a lot of fear, and Retrograde encourages us to release fear and purge negativity from our lives by acknowledging and addressing the roots and causes of our fears. Whether it be negative people, ideologies, or financial burdens and debt that are holding you back, this is the time to remove the sludge from your life so you can become more empowered.

Pluto also rules the 8th house, governed by Scorpio and is concerned with wealth, banking, taxes, stocks, bonds, insurance, wills, inheritances. We could certainly see issues of money laundering, tax evasion and other sneaky money matters and dirty business deals come out in the open. Pluto also rules sexual perversions to the level of abuse so we could see even more of those types of secrets get revealed, especially regarding well known and famous people. Remember what happened precisely when Jupiter entered Scorpio and all the abuses started to get revealed in Hollywood like clockwork. Pluto rules over the Scorpio water sign and is associated with the deep, dark swampy lagoon type of depths of reality. Yikes!

Capricorn is an earth sign and is of course associated with our goals and achievements in the material world and money matters, social class, reputation and public awareness, with a particular focus on leadership, officials and authority figures in high places, from business and banking to political structures, as well as religious orders and military powers.

As we have seen there has been a lot of messiness in the political world these days, but that is exactly what Pluto will emphasize in Capricorn. Pluto is associated with the crumbling of the old system to establish and transform what has been hidden deep in the dark underbelly of the political world and higher echelons of power in our society. Pluto reduces and destroys to recreate, restructure and rebuild.

With Pluto going Retrograde we are going to see another power switch, a turning of the tables from the direction things have been heading politically. Those in positions of authority are likely to have much revealed about their dirty handiwork.

Digging up lots of the nastiest dirt behind the scenes is inevitable, and most notably the way the news has been going for years, there is plenty of evidence that Pluto is taking charge of reconstructing the political realm and it certainly is messy and heavy hitting stuff!

We are also likely to see more talk of the sneaky activity with technology giants, listening in, hidden records and getting deep into the personal, secret lives of people.
