New Moon in Aquarius

New Moon in Aquarius on January 24, 2020 4:44 pm ET

The Moon meets the Sun for the New Moon at 4⁰22’ degrees of Aquarius and will grow for 2 weeks.

This is a week to start thinking fresh and new with an eye toward future growth. Aquarius is a fixed sign but is also an unpredictable air sign, and with the Moon in Aquarius we can expect changing emotions and ideas to arise quickly.

Bright, creative ideas that come up should be reflected upon, developed and acted upon as the Moon grows in the days following the seed moment of the New Moon.

Artists and creatives usually find an Aquarian influence with the New Moon to be auspicious in developing new work. Sci-fi, futuristic films are a great option for entertainment and inspiration now.

Aquarius can seem like a dichotomy, ruled by 2 planets – freedom loving Uranus and restricting Saturn.

As an air sign ruled by Uranus, Aquarius likes an open mind, freedom of thought, enjoys communication, interesting ideas and is social and altruistic. Aquarius is humanitarian and likes to expand consciousness in social circles and groups.

Aquarius is also co-ruled by Saturn which has a more restricting, stubborn aspect and likes the confines of their own quirky bubble. With the opposing types of influences of Uranus and Saturn, Aquarius can seem aloof and distant in thought and self reflection on their own goals, the bigger ideas of life and the future.

A New Moon in Aquarius can indicate overcoming current limitations and new breakthroughs in technology and communications are also possible. We could see more consideration about social media, bots, and artificial intelligence with this Aquarian focus now.

The Moon symbolizes a desire for personal connection. How we feel about our social life and friends can change when the Moon is in Aquarius. If you have a strong emotional pull toward altruistic endeavors and helping others, the New Moon in Aquarius can strengthen your desire to volunteer and do charitable work that brings comfort to those in need.

An increased interest in helpful practices like Astrology can be enhanced with a New Moon in Aquarius. Peering into the mind and emotions of people from a cosmic perspective to provide comfort, awareness, and insights is in sync with this placement.

Since Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius, is in Taurus now, earth changes are sure to be in focus. We have already started to see more news about earthquakes with Uranus stationing Direct in Taurus. In this regard, thoughts and feelings about finance, home and security are also enhanced with this Moon in Aquarius.

The Moon is also associated with the comfort, wellness and nourishment of our physical bodies. With the New Moon in Aquarius, this would be a great time to think about how you want to take care of your body. A more forward thinking approach to nutritious food and self care, with organic and natural choices is recommended. The old ways of using natural herbs and food as medicine and healing is a new way of thinking about wellness for a lot of people. 1. Interestingly enough, the New Space Force Logo was unveiled on January 24, 2020 at 4:31 pm ET… so close to this New Moon in Aquarius and it looks similar to a Star Trek logo.

How coincidental is it that that the logo design for the New Space Force was released less than 15 minutes before the New Moon in Aquarius. Moon – home. Aquarius – technology, future, advances, sci-fi, space, cosmic. Uranus in Taurus – Security, Protection, Future, Earth.
