Mars enters Capricorn on February 16, 2020 at 6:32 am ET.
Mars will be in Capricorn until March 30, 2020 at 3:26 pm ET.
We can use the Mars energy positively to have the power to go after our goals and ambitions, and tap into those leadership qualities for our careers and in business. We can use the positive aspects of Mars like initiation, drive, ambition and athletic, goal oriented focus and determination to achieve great results. Here we can push ourselves hard to create empowering changes in our lives.
Mars rules Aries and Scorpio. With Aries, Mars is more about the enthusiastic athlete, initiator and is about self assertion, while with Scorpio Mars is more like survival instincts, anxieties, fears, psychological roots of behavior, and demonstrations of sexuality.
However, Mars is considered a malefic planet, and considering Mercury is going Retrograde on the same day we are likely to have some challenges during this period. I would not be surprised if Mars in Capricorn is going to be a big, dramatic, over the top, aggressive period in February and March, 2020.
With the high energy, drive, determination and warrior energy of Mars and Mercury Retrograde fumbling communications and interpretations, we could see an extra dose of tension and stress when things are not working out as wished. Mars can have a rushed energy so we can have more impatience accomplishing goals, feel like we are running out of time and get easily annoyed by obstacles that are slowing you down from making progress.
Since a lot of people can let their emotions get the best of them, or haven’t developed a high level of emotional intelligence to work with and therefore their ego gets in their way when dealing with situations and people, it inevitably means the lower quality of an aggressive, dominating, forceful, unrelenting, narcissistic, self serving approach can take over creating division between people.
The potential for arguments and battles over politics is likely so if you don’t want to create an emotionally charged kerfuffle, it would be wise to muster the strength and willpower to bite your tongue and walk away.
Communicating with higher ups, leaders, bosses, head honchos in business or dealing with bureaucratic rules could be difficult or test your patience, so it is best to try to smooth things over and put your best foot forward instead of getting drawn into aggressive stances. Instead of charging full steam ahead with your point or opinion, holding back a bit and doing your best to think things through before taking action is recommended.
Mercury Retrograde in Pisces could help dissipate aggression as it can dissolve the ego especially for the types that are putting in the effort to do so. However, with the added confusion, mixed messages and communication issues, we could certainly see an escalation of frustration which could possibly turn into fury for some.
We could see an increase in anxiety when things get complicated or aren’t working out as we had hoped.
Mars meets Jupiter on March 20, 2020 at 7:34 am ET and then meets with Pluto on March 23, 2020 at 1:20 am ET.
Mercury is finished Retrograde before Mars meets Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn so hopefully that will help reduce issues of miscommunications.
From the positive perspective on this, in your own life, this can be a great time to get yourself active and energized to work toward your goals and tap into this powerful energy for empowerment to change your life and go after your biggest career objectives. This could be a good time to make a power move in your career and showcase your best leadership abilities and enthusiasm for success. Being active and willing to try new, practical approaches can lead to good results and a sense of self empowerment. We will likely see people taking bigger chances, even gambles on career goals and business deals. Luckily Mercury will not be Retrograde anymore at this point, so your ability to make decisions will hopefully be clearer by this time.
If you feel like you haven’t accomplished the goals you would like at this point in your life, you are likely to experience frustration and feel like you need to make a major change. Though people may feel rushed and running out of time to accomplish greatness. We could see people make dramatic, life changing decisions when Mars and Pluto meet.
When Mars meets Jupiter learning through activities and willpower is with us. Instructors will find practical demonstrations are optimal ways to teach lessons now. Spending more time practicing your skills is recommended for best results.
Capricorn is the sign of politics and business, leadership, ego, and practical efforts towards manifesting power and success. When Mars the warrior meets up with Jupiter and then Pluto in Capricorn we are likely to see extra emphasis and big changes in the sector of career, finance and reputation.
We could see over the top, exaggerated, aggressive stances change the political landscape. I wouldn’t be surprised if international tensions between countries escalates during this period. Economically we could see big swings, fear or tensions that affect the financial markets – Mars and Pluto both rule Scorpio. We could see more talk of trade wars and their effects. We may also see more examples of crime and high crimes during this period.
“Power attracts the worst and corrupts the best.” -Edward Abbey.
Battling big egos of those at the top are likely to be on full display. We’ve all known there has been corruption in politics for ages, and the fact that it’s becoming so obvious and undeniable in so many ways is actually a good thing overall. By seeing what’s going on instead of dismissing things and brushing them under the rug and by admitting there is corruption, we are more willing and able to root it out and get rid of it.
Of course, we could see harsh words and actions in the political world and media. Meeting Jupiter, major situations regarding judges and judgments from high positions of authority are likely to be in the news around this time.
With strong egos we could see displays of narcissism, and even violent actions maybe even at the aggressive level of roid rage. Perhaps we’ll see major demonstrations of rage, jealousy, envy, aggression like Rams and Goats butting heads.
Pluto is considered the higher octave of Mars and Pluto and Mars together could indicate extremes, and we might see a death or significant event that leads to major shifts in the realm of politics or business. We could also see a political battle that is very heated leading to significant transformation. As celebrities are also signified in Capricorn, we may see intense shifts in the circle of famous people at the top.
It also wouldn’t be surprising to see talk of sexually aggressive behavior regarding famous people, impacting reputations of those in the political spotlight and media. We could also see the ending of a high profile career, or dark secrets and transgressions come out possibly damaging the reputations of famous people.
Pluto is also highly conspiracy related, especially in Capricorn where it digs up dirt of what’s going on behind the scenes of those in rich and powerful position.
Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio and relates to sex, particularly perversions and abuses. Interestingly enough, the timing of when Jupiter entered Scorpio a couple years ago is precisely when all the Hollywood sex scandals got so much attention, with information about Weinstein coming out from behind the scenes. Now, as Mars the co-ruler of Scorpio, meets with Pluto in Capricorn we see the Weinstein trial come to a head. That’s interesting timing!
With Mars meeting Pluto in Capricorn, we may also see a famous person come out as transgender.
News of the Coronavirus came out around the time Saturn met Pluto in Capricorn in January. We could see more defensive stances as we get closer to Mars meeting Pluto in March, especially considering Chiron is in Aries, indicating the importance of self protection and self preservation. Mars meeting Jupiter and Pluto this month indicates big talks in the media and information spreading fast around the globe, and potentially higher levels of fear that brings significant changes internationally.
Mars in Capricorn will be in Trine to Uranus in Taurus and in square to Chiron in Aries on February 21, 2020. We could see more talk about the need for environmental protections due to destructive impacts on nature by both the corporate and political world and the activities of individuals. Hopefully we don’t see an oil spill in the coming weeks.
Mars in Capricorn is in opposition to the Destiny Point in Cancer on February 25, 2020, which means that Mars will be conjunct the South Node in Capricorn. Considerations of the importance of home life and family bonds, and how it relates to our drive for success and ambitions in business and careers is in focus as we finish off the month of February. If you are overworked or stressed about responsibilities you are likely to feel a desire to spend more time resting and doing things that feel good with the people that matter in your life rather than grinding away at the office.
How politics, and it’s strong influence on the world affects the lives of everyday people is worth observation now. Do those at the top of our society really demonstrate they are working for the common people? The Destiny Point in Cancer is what we desire to move toward now, so don’t be surprised if more people feel a stronger opposition to how leaders are behaving.
This can also be a good time to take charge of doing your best for your physical body through exercise and nutrition. Quality sleep and rest are recommended to balance the energy and effort you are putting into manifesting your goals.
