What’s happening in Astrology in May 2020?
Here is a quick little overview of what’s happening in astrology in May. Of course I’ll get getting into the details as the month progresses with updated links to new posts.
The first thing we’ve got going on this month is The Destiny Point leaving Cancer and The Destiny Point enters Gemini on May 5, 2020. With so many millions of people at home now, The Destiny Point in Cancer is certainly being demonstrated to us all with more home-time at the end of it’s placement here. Now, the North Node moves into Gemini and the South Node leaves Capricorn and enters Sagittarius.
Oh, this is going to have some impacts on travel that’s for sure. And we are going to see a whole lot more gossip. Media talk should get really interesting and have us questioning just what direction are we heading with all these opinions! What kind of words and concepts are we using that is going to change our future. How we deal with communications are going to take on a much stronger role in our lives. Neighbors and people we are connected to in our immediate circle become more important.
2020 A Year of Retrogrades
There are a whole lot of Retrogrades coming up in 2020. We already had Pluto go Retrograde on April 25th.
Now we will see Saturn station Retrograde in Aquarius on May 11th. It got pretty nutty pretty fast when Saturn entered Aquarius at the end of March as Social Distancing took our social lives in a whole other direction.
Considering Saturn symbolizes restrictions and limitations and Aquarius symbolizes social groups, what’s happening is right on time. Aquarius is an air sign, signifying communications, thought, technology and the future. Some say that masks over our faces also symbolize limitations on our freedom of speech. This is quite noticeable in our social media world as people are limited in what they can and can’t say according to those in positions of authority. Saturn is authority figures.
We have a Full Moon in Scorpio on May 7, 2020 at 6:45 am ET.
Mercury enters Gemini on May 11, 2020 at 5:57 pm ET.
Mars enters Pisces on May 13th, 2020 at 12:16 am ET indicating a softer side to the warrior energy is possible, but also a potential focus on the sacrificial warrior.
Venus goes Retrograde on May 13th, 2020 at 2:46 am ET.
Jupiter in Capricorn goes Retrograde on May 14th, 2020 at 10:33 am ET. Our philosophy and beliefs about people and power in high places is set for big changes.
The Sun enters Gemini on May 20th, 2020 at 9:48 am ET.
New Moon in Gemini May 22, 2020 at 1:39 pm ET.
Mercury in Gemini will meet Venus Retrograde on May 22, 2020 at 4:41 am ET. We can expect plenty of gossip to influence our relationships.
Mercury will meet the Destiny Point in Gemini on May 28, 2020 at 12:36 am ET. It’s a big day for communications.
