We officially have the New Moon in Aquarius on February 11, 2021 at 2:07 pm ET.
The Moon meets the Sun in Aquarius for the New Moon in Aquarius and will grow for 2 weeks.
There’s a lot of planets in Aquarius now and the Moon connects with all of them between February 10 and 11, 2021 leading up to the New Moon in Aquarius.
A New Moon is a reminder to start something new and different that speaks to you emotionally.
The New Moon in Aquarius reminds us it’s time to think fresh with a new perspective and eye toward future growth, and asks, “What do you want your future to look like?”
The Moon is in conjunction with Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius on February 11, 2021 at 2:25 am ET – just about 12 hours before the New Moon. Confusion and a lack of concentration and clarity are likely, but gut instincts and intuition can help you along. Mercury Retrograde reminds us to pause before quickly reacting to situations, and to rethink mistakes from the past so we don’t make them again in the future.
Aquarius is most concerned with thoughts and words, especially in relation to technology and how information is transmitted electronically along airwaves. How thoughts and words influence the collective consciousness is in focus with this New Moon in Aquarius.
With Mercury Retrograde we can expect a lot of conflicting information in the media and online that leads to confusion, which can strongly influence people’s emotions collectively now. “Cancel culture” by peer pressure of social groups is in focus with Mercury Retrograde and so many planets in Aquarius.
When it comes to information, when the Moon is hidden, and Mercury is Retrograde, it is wise to consider what is being hidden and what tricks are being played? What is omitted and unknown? We could see news media and the tech industry start a new campaign of restricting information from the collective. For more details, I talk more about Mercury conjunct Jupiter on February 14, 2021 here.
Turning off external influences like the news and social media can help you focus and maintain better control of your own frame of mind. This can be a good time to meditate to expand your consciousness in the way You want to think.
With the Moon meeting the Sun, usually, bright, creative ideas that come up should be reflected upon, developed and considered as the Moon grows in the days following the seed moment of the New Moon. But again, with Mercury Retrograde until February 20th, decision making with full confidence isn’t as likely.
Artists and creatives usually find an Aquarian influence with the New Moon to be auspicious in developing new work. With a lack of concentration and precision to details likely now, a more abstract approach can create something uniquely interesting and feel more freeing. Sci-fi, futuristic films are a great option for entertainment and creative inspiration now.
As an air sign ruled by Uranus, Aquarius likes an open mind, freedom of thought, enjoys communication, interesting ideas and is social and altruistic. Aquarius is humanitarian and likes to expand consciousness in social circles and groups. But, we’re kind of in a pickle right now with Mercury Retrograde causing confusion and Saturn pushing structured rules and consequences from authority figures that are dominating our lives in many ways. Though most of us want to have a brighter, more hopeful future, we’re in a pressure zone right now that has people doubtful and unsure of what the next developments will be.
And adding to that, we have expansive and optimistic Jupiter in Aquarius which contrasts with the limitations and karmic consequences of Saturn in Aquarius. There’s no wonder people are confused and many are feeling out of sorts these days.
An increased interest in helpful practices like Astrology can be enhanced with a New Moon in Aquarius. Peering into the bigger picture of the cosmos along with mind and emotions of people from a higher perspective can provide awareness, and insights is in sync with this New Moon.
Of course, the Moon symbolizes a desire for personal connection. How we feel about our social life and friends can change when the Moon is in Aquarius. If you have a strong emotional pull toward altruistic endeavors and helping others, the New Moon in Aquarius can strengthen your desire to bring care and comfort to those in need.
The Moon is also associated with the comfort, wellness and nourishment of our physical bodies. With the New Moon in Aquarius, and Uranus in Taurus this would be a good time to think about how you want to take care of your body and your personal rights and freedoms to make decisions for your own body. Rethinking your approach to nutritious food and self care is recommended and consider that Taurus prefers organic and natural choices. Using natural herbs and food as medicine and healing is a new way of thinking about wellness for a lot of people. As an air sign, it is wise to learn more about natural remedies to prevent air-borne illness.
Uranus in Taurus can indicate surprising events like earthquakes and volcanoes as well. Mars is also in Taurus now and the ruling planet of Taurus, Venus is currently in Aquarius.

Awesome post. So happy I found this blog! Weirdly enough, I am an Aquarius and I usually love this season and thrive during it. But for whatever reason this year, I am just merely hanging on.
Interestingly enough, the New Space Force Logo was unveiled on January 24, 2020 at 4:31 pm ET… so close to this New Moon in Aquarius and it looks similar to a Star Trek logo.
How coincidental is it that that the logo design for the New Space Force was released less than 15 minutes before the New Moon in Aquarius. Moon – home. Aquarius – technology, future, advances, sci-fi, space, cosmic. Uranus in Taurus – Security, Protection, Future, Earth.
